FormAPI callou

HI,

I would like to now if it´s possible to callout a web aplication from a DCR using FormAPI. I would like the user while editing a DCR be able to press a botton... a link or whatever that would lead him (by an URL) to a web based application by opening another navigation window.

You can accomplish this by using a CGI callout.

Take a look at the Templating Developers Guide.

I´ve been looking documentation but found nothing about being able to launch a Java program from a DCR through a callout... Is it really possible to do this?

The callout is, I believe, expecting a CGI URL - thus in order to launch a Java program from a callout you'd probably have to somehow wrap the Java program in a CGI script - from whence you can set the classpath and do all the other sort of stuff you need to do (I'm largely Java-illiterate so take the above with a grain or two of salt)
