Web CMS (TeamSite)
Direct Access to a Form via TeamSite GUI
littlelise
Hi,
can anyone tell me if there is a way for a content contributor to be taken directly to a datacapture form? So far, the steps to reach it would be to a) login, b)go to the workarea, c)navigate to the appropriate place in the branch, then d) do File->New Data Record, to launch the form they are required to fill in.
My preference would be to have the contributor
a) log in
b) have one more step to get the form up for them to fill in and save.
Or//
Can this be done by using a presentation template? Can I direct my users to a web page and have them not even know it's driven by TeamSite underneath?
Any Pointers?
Cheers :-)
Lisa

If you're using TS6 with the Content Center Standard (CCS) interface - once you login you are presented with (among other things) all the available forms for each branch for which you have access - and clicking on one of those links will bring up the DCT form to be filled in.
Alternatively, I believe both TS5.5.2 and TS6 provide URL's that you can use to specify the DCT/form to edit and thus a hyperlink directive can be placed in a piece of email or on some web page to allow users to get to the DCT form. If the user who clicks on such a link does not already have a TeamSite Authentication Cookie on their machine; they will first be taken to the login page, and then from there automatically to the DCT form.

This can easily be accomplished using CCI URLs.
Search DevNet or the Support site on "CCI" for the details.
