AdminServer question

Folks here's a question I SHOULD know the answer to but for some reason I keep second guessing myself. We have TeamSite5.5.2 SP3, OD5.6 and DD5.6 installed on our server.

When we install OpenDeploy, we as a matter of course install both the AdminServer and the BaseServer. However all of our deployments are triggered as external or cgi tasks from within our workflows and we don't use the OD Admin GUI to schedule or initiate any deployments.

The question, based upon the above usage, is, "does OpenDeploy at anytime rely on anything in the AdminServer if we do not use the Admin UI?"

Nope - My current customer is using OD 5.6 (solaris) and does not use the UI - so we didn't install the AdminServer at all - works just fine (don't get to take advantage of the reporting DB - but the deployments work)
