import wont scroll down
nico
I have a user who is trying to import files from her local machine to teamsite. However if the directory (filled with only files) needs to scroll down to reach the file it is unable to do so. If she tries to scroll down the verticle scroll bar just starts blinking.
However if the directory is filled with both directories and files the import window scrolls perfectly.
TS 552 win2k
thanks,
Nico

Sounds *similar* to errors I have seen related to third party Java. Is Java installed ? If so you may be able to disable it in IE Tools -> Internet options.

Can you able to solve this problem? We are also facing same problem. Please let me know.

I had the same experience as nipper - the import applet changed its behaviour after installing a different Java runtime environment (JRE). If the PC has had JDK or similar installed you might want to uninstall it.
Hope this helps.

Nico,
What service pack are you using?
Suggest you turn off the java plug-in (this should be
in the release notes that the java plug-in is not
supported.. pretty sure it's there, somewhere.)
You can also upgrade to >= SP3 and this bug should
not be a problem.

How do you disable the plug-in? I unchecked the 'use java 2 v1.3.1_08 for <applet>' checkbox in the advanced tab in internet options but it didn't help. What version of java is supported on TeamSite 6.1 SP1?
Thx,

Nathan...
Concerning 6.1 and Java plug-in, I had the same issue. Version 6.1 and 6.5 do not play well with the Java 1.5 plug-in for a browser. To fix, just download an older JRE (I used 1.4.2) and install; just make sure to remove the other stuff from your local disk.

Nathan-
Unchecking it in the Advanced tab of IE should be enough. Not sure what you
mean when you say "doesn't help" ? Do you mean the java plug-in still is
running the applet, or do you mean you're now using the MS JVM but the
problem still remains..?
Not sure if 1.3 has this... but 1.4 has a control panel which you can use to
turn off the plug-in as well. It should be the same as doing it from IE. Either
way, you would need to quit and restart all instances of IE after this...
Some versions of XP did not ship with a JVM. I think it was WinXP no SP. In
that case we explictly said that was not supported client config.
There is always the option of uninstalling the plug-in software, but you
shouldn't need to go to that length..
Hope that helps.....

TS 552 does not support the Sun JVM. Install the *older* version of Microsoft JVM and you should be fine.
