Is iwmigrate role dependant

I need to migrate some branches from our test to production server. I've always used tar and ftp, but thought I would try iwmigrate.

I was wondering if the CLT iwmigrate is role dependant?

I think you want to run it as root (directly or through sudo) - I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but its the way I've done it in the past.
