Strange Problem w/ image browse

We are having a **** of a time trying to figure out this one. We're running TS 6 on Unix. Our template has an image browse component inorder to choose an image for the template. For the super users it works just fine, all the images show in the pop-up selector box. But for those users that are not admins and super-users, the users that will be using the system, only the first 25 or last 25 (depending on how your sort) show up in the window box. All the images have the same permissions, rwx-rwx r-x ,as well as the image folder. If a super-user logs in as Editor or Author they still get the complete list of images, so it doesn't seem to be what role you are logged in as. Has anyone every experienced this one? Or have any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
