Follow-on thread to one of my other posts.
Specifically, I'm dealing with menu customizations, changing only the ui_custom.xml and roles_custom.xml, and I'm a bit miffed at how long it takes to make such changes available for trying out.
I'm following the documented recommendations for doing this by making my changes in the customer_src tree and then using the 'make.sh' to merge the changes into the customer tree, and finally running IWHOME/install/install_webapps.ipl -f -i
As a benchmark - withouth making *any* changes, on Solaris 8 machine (which unfortunately seems to only have 128Mb memory -- it's just for development usage, however ...) using /bin/time:

23 minutes is a loooooong time to wait for something that should have been a no-op.
