replicant default value for more than 1 item

I would like to set up a replicant with min="2" textarea items, with a different default text for each item.

Any ideas on the best way to do this? There is no event when user adds an item, so formAPI is not obvious.

FormAPI. Have the FormAPI set the default value in the second replicant.

OK, but how do I do that...

Specifically, what event would trigger the formAPI code? onItemChange? attached to the first replicant item?

If your formAPI is the last thing in the DCT (just before the </ruleset> tag), you shouldn't need any trigger. The replicant should already exist before the code executes.
