Fail to browse file in symbolic link
keith999
We are running TeamSite 552 under Solaris 8. Symbolic links are created under a workarea that points to another workarea in another branch. It is found that the browse button in data capture template fails to list file under the symbolic link. Below is an abstract code in datacapture.cfg
<item name="Header 3">
<browser extns=".htm" initial-dir="/docs" ceiling-dir="/docs" required="t" size="50"/>
</item>
Does any know what is happening?

Symbolic links within TeamSite do not work reliably - never have as far as I know, and I don't think there is any intention to make it so (having symbolic links within a version management system is a tricky prospect at best - usually if you please one person's needs for the functionality, you'll break someone else's needs)
Short answer: Don't use symbolic links within TeamSite (using symbolic links outside of TeamSite to point to an area within TeamSite is a different matter - that works - as long as TeamSite is up and running)
