Metadata Search
sunil_j
Hi,
Should Metadata Search be configured on the Production TeamSite Server? I am asking this question because Metadata Search requires DAS to be configured and the documentation for DAS says, it should be configured on a TeamSite Development Environment. If thats true, how to do a Metadata Search on a TeamSite Production Server ?

if you are asking then I'd ask yourself - why do you need it and if business had ever asked for it....

Metadata Search is a requirement from Business to enable some sort of Search feature within TeamSite.
Business users want to find a list of files which has been created on a specific date OR expiring on a certain date OR having a specific metadata.

Sunil,
If your content is going to be on production then what is the point of configuring this on Dev for production content. I think it needs to be configured for all the instances.
Also do plan accordingly for the database specifications/space etc for the tables that will be created.

Perhaps you're reading the sentence out of context (or perhaps it was written with a poor association to context) - and maybe it's talking about TeamSite as being the "Content Development Environment" - and not whether you are using a TeamSite DEV server vs a TeamSite PROD server.
