TS6: MDC - accessing filename from cgi-callout

In 5.5.2 - using the OOTB MDC form (non-MetaTagger) - cgi-callouts could access the name of the file being tagged via form variables (e.g. $cgi->{form}{path_0}, $cgi->{form}{path_1}, ...)

I'm now using 6.0L on Solaris (soon to be upgraded to 6.1) where MetaTagger is now the OOTB MDC utility - and I cannot find any form variable that provides the path (absolute or area-relative, or even filename) of the file that is being tagged.

Am I missing something here? - is this fixed in 6.1? or is there a reasonable work-around? - or is this something I have to file a high-priority bug report on? as this would most likely prevent my customer from being able to upgrade from 5.5.2

I think you are stuck for now - the file name is not a variable that is exposed and is not listed in the templating guide (though I realize that it was possible to do, ifunsupported, before). There is a fr for this (46736) so open a case and have it attached to the FR. I know of no workarounds for now.
