patches applied
JNLITeamsite
According to the docs, iwversion outputs the version string that is embedded in the iwversion CLT.
iwserver -v doesn't tell which patches are applied. It has a VERSION variable at the top of the script that it just echos out like so:
VERSION="5.5.2 Build 14136 SYM Interwoven 20021127"
echo "$MYNAME: $VERSION"
So how does one accurately discover what patches have been applied to the server?

In a related question, I've just been beating my head against the wall trying to get this to work:
iwattrib <somthing> verstring
What's the bit in the middle? I've tried the short hostname, the full hostname, server, Server, etc. but can't get the output.
I am trying to RTFM but the FM isn't so easy to R. :-(

iwattrib gives attributes of filesystem objects. i don't think it can tell you anything about your version string.
try
iwattrib -l /default/main
and
iwattrib /default/main creator
that should get you going with iwattrib

This is a looooong standing feature request (don't recall the number though).
You can tell which service packs are installed by looking through the IWOV_Upgrades directory or by comparing the build number (returned by
iwversion
) against the information contained within
iwserver Build and Patch Map Chart
(
Support site article
)
Unforturnately there is, to the best of my knowledge,
no
utility for determining what
patches
have been applied other than your own records.
Also, as a side note -
iwversion
reports the version of the
server
,
iwversion -v
reports the version of
iwversion
.
