TS 5.5.2 Authenticate failure

Hello,
When i am trying to login to TS 5.5.2 (on windows 2000 Ad.server) from the browser i get the following message

Authenticate failure.

if i open the log it says simply.
Authentication error: user=****; domain=xyz; role=master
nothing else any idea please ?

Can you login as that user to Windows with the same username, domain and password that you are using to login to TS ?
Try using iwckrole if that user has a valid role in TS.
Does this happen for this particular user only or everybody ?

This is the output from the command mentioned

C:\iw-home\TeamSite\bin>iwckrole admin administrator
YES

All cui commands works, only through gui it fails.
any more idea please

in order to get a quick resolution, try to rebuild the entities database. It did help me many times

Thanks but it is looking like working ,
but it shows all old contents, and also says work area not accessable.
so renamed back and gives the same Authenticate failure.

Few days back, i have an un-successful Active directory installation on the team site machine.
but i rolled back.
after words it give the error.
