Add Event Handler To New Replicant Instance

I'm looking to add an event handler for a new replicant instance event. Text fields need to be shown/hidden based on a radio button selection and some need to be hidden on instance creation. Currently when a new instance is created all fields are displayed initially and the radio button does toggle shown/hidden text fields. I'm not using the replicant tag, min and max attributes are set on the container. How do I catch/handle the replicant instantion event?
