Filenames with special characters

Am having an issue OpenDeploying files from one server to another that contain special characters, specifically £ (pound sign).

e.g.
The file testfile£.txt when opendeployed arrives as testfile^Z.txt (or testfile£.txt if viewed through TS)

It is probably worth noting that a straight FTP of these files from base->target is fine with none of the issues described above.

It does therefore seem to be an issue with character sets and encoding thro OD, anyone else experienced this and/or have any suggestions/solutions?

Base : OD 6.0.1, Solaris 8
Target : OD 5.6.0.1, AIX 5.1

I have never encountered the £ symbol, but have used OD to deploy files with some other non-alphanumeric characters without problems.
You might want to try OD 6.0 base to OD 6.0 Receiver.

I would suggest you open a case with support.
