How to invoke my CGI program?

Hi All:
Environment:TS6.1+SP1+IIS
I have a trouble about invoking my custom CGI program.
I modified ui_custom.xml .... and put my CGI program "custom_deploy" in "<iw-home>/httpd/iw-bin"

But when I click the "Customer Deploy" link, the pop-up windows show that "Internal Server Error"!!

Can anybody tell me some notes about that??

Take a look in <iw-home>/httpd/logs/error.log
There may be some hint there about why it is failing.

There is no "logs" directory inside the httpd directory. My TeamSite version is 6.1, about you?

My appologies! Sorry...just got into work and still waking up! I meant the <iw-home>/iwwebd directory.
Don't have access to the Teamsite machine right now, but I think its something like iw-webd.

There should be a logs folder in there with an error.log.

If you're on Unix - I believe the log file is /var/adm/iwui/error_log, on Windows I believe it's in IWHOME/local/logs/iwui/something_error.log

Also - are you sure the URL is /../iw-bin or is it just ../iw-bin with no leading '/' ?

I can run my CGI program now after modifying ...

And I don't know the effect of "iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi" clearly. I need add the "iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi" in my URL to run my CGI program written with Perl? Since cann't run custom_deploy.ipl directly without iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi.

iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi is used to ensure that the owner of the process running the CGI is the user who is logged into TeamSite, rather than the owner of the TeamSite [web]server process.

You should not need this in order for your CGI to run - but possibly in order for the CGI to function properly (e.g. you want deployments listed as being kicked off by the logged in user rather than by 'root' or 'SYSTEM')

Note - you changed the URL significantly from the first post.

Your original post had: /../iw-bin/
I suggested removing the first '/' and just using ../iw-bin/
You now have /iw-bin/

(both /iw-bin/ and ../iw-bin/ should work to the best of my knowledge)

Have you tried /iw-bin/custom_deploy.ipl - without the iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi?

Fox example:
Folder A has 2 sub-folder B&C, I wanna get the name B & C.
Can I use "readdir" function to achieve that?How?

Yes - that would be one of the ways to do it (and, in my opinion, usually the best). Look at perldoc -f readdir for a pretty good example of basically the opposite of what you want to do. What you're aiming for is more like:

opendir(DIR, $some_dir) || die "can't opendir $some_dir: $!";
@subdirs = grep { !/^\./ && -d "$some_dir/$_" } readdir(DIR);
closedir DIR;

Something like this should return a reference to an array of subdirectories. There are certainly other ways of doing this, but this should work.

    opendir(DIR, $parent) or return undef;
