issue with .doc files containing http links

Hello All-

I have a strange TeamSite 6.1 (Windows 2k) issue that I would appreciate any and all feedback/comments on. Here goes:

1. In a TS workarea, a user clicks(virtualizes) a page with a link to a MS word(.doc) file.
2. The user selects the link to the .doc file and the .doc file opens in the browser(IE).
3. The .doc file contains an HTML link to a site like http://access.wa.gov, the user clicks the link in the .doc file and is taken to http://access.wa.gov
4. From http://access.wa.gov, the user clicks back to go back to the .doc file they were just in and the browser returns an error that says something like: Internet Explorer cannot download test.doc from 10.x.x.x (the teamsite server)

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance for any and all help!
