Upgrading AIX from 552 to 6/6L to 6.1

OK, we're on AIX, going to upgrade from 552 to 6 -- please no snickering! Smiley Happy

Anyway, localization is not supported in 6 on AIX, yet. Does anyone know when AIX will be supported by 6L? Or, when will 6.1 be supported? And will 6.1 come with localization? Or do we need to have 6L to get it?

are there two paths like this:
552==>6L==>6.1L
or
552==>6==>6.1

or are ther two starting points for the same path?
552==>6L=\\
--------------=====> 6.1L
552==>6==//

i get the feeling by the lack of posts that not many people have done this ... or lived to speak of it ...
