Workflow creation thru OpenAPI

HI,

I'm getting the following error when i'm trying to initiate a workflow using OpenAPI:
Caught exception com.interwoven.api.utility.IWInternalError: OpenAPI method "IWWorkFlow::createFromXMLString" failed due to Sciface call "TWFClient::CreateWorkFlow": Sciface error #1 (Failure in operation).

I'm running a client program remotely. The access, filesys and workflow services have been obtained successfully. Authentication is also successful.
Please explain what is the possible cause of this error.

Hi,
The error reporting capability of OpenAPI in this regard is limited. The error you are getting indicates that the workflow specification you are passing openapi is wrong somewhere. The way to determine this error would be to run the job specification using the TeamSite CLT iwjobc (in <iw-home>/bin). This CLT points out the errors in the specification, and once you correct those, it should go through fine in OpenAPI.
