Generation of DCR (XML) based on custom DTD

Is it possible to generate DCRs based on custom DTDs ?
For example, I want to generate a DCR in the following format from my data capture form :

<book>
<author>Satish M</author>
<date_time_created>20040303</date_time_created>
<content>
<p>Who We Are</p>
</content>
</book>


Kindly provide the list of steps and a simple example.

I believe the answer is dependent upon what version of TeamSite / TeamSite Templating you are using (information which you should provide in all initial posts).
In 5.5.2 or 6.x - look at Appendix D in the TeamSite Templating Developer's Guide. The instructions differ, at least slightly, between versions so make sure you look at the manual associated with the version of the product you are using.
