iwprocessd?

Does anyone know what this is or why it core dumps? I think it may have something to do with automatically restarting teamsite services when they crash, but I'm not sure.

The reason this came up is because we're trying to set nice values such that workflow processes get less priority than interactive processes because the UI is horribly slow (especially when there are many workflows active). If all workflow processes are descendants of iwprocessd (the SA said it looked this way) and UI processes are not that would make it easy to identify which process IDs to nice down. Does anyone have a similar issue and/or a performance solution?

There are some issues with processd. This has beed fixed with a patch on top of sp4. So you have to install sp4 and then the patch ID 1453.

If you have already done this then you might want to open a Support case.
