Limit TeamSite logons to 1 session per account?
System
I am curious how to limit TeamSite logons to only 1 session per account.
currently, on TS 5.5.2 sp2, we can have 3 users logged on at the same time with 1 account (which seems to be a major licensing issue). im curious as to why TS doesnt prompt with an alert such as "This account is currently in use" or something similar when another person tries to logon with the same userid.
does IW allow this since their software doesnt block it in anyway?

I believe there is something in the licensing document that specifies 1 user per account - and that's certainly the intention - but this is just one of several things that the product provides on an "honnor-system" basis.

With the async nature of TS, it would be very difficult to do. Since it is browser driven, you can just kill the browser without
the server knowing you stopped using it. IW could put usage timeouts, but I don't really think they want to.
Sharing a login is not necessarily illegal IF the users have a login as well. Andy has a license, but that does not prevent
me from logging in as TSADM, while other people may do that at the same time. That is not a violation of the agreement.
If 5 people use GENERICLOGIN then that is a violation of the license agreement.
So net/net I doubt there is a way to monitor it. Why do people share a login anyway ?
Of course now that you posted this, I am certain IW will come out & do an audit.
Since to day is April 15th, why not post "The IRS sucks, I dare you to audit me" on an IRS controlled site.
