Retrieving the Current User's ID/Name

Hi,

How can we get the name or id of the user currently logged in to Teamsite .
I need to set this value to one of the field in my data capture form.
Any pointers ??

If you use a [cgi-] callout - the user_name information is accessible as a form variable.
If you use an inline script - the IW_USER information is accessible as an environment variable.
If you're using FormAPI - the IWDatacapture.getUser() function will return the information.

I'm afraid your question falls under the well-brandished "RTFM" rule. This is very easy to do, but you should take the initiative and read the manual at least a little bit.
