Custom menu
Gopi
Hi,
I want to get "workarea + directory" path in a perl file using custom menu.
It is like this.
User will select a directory in TS and select a custom meu like "download directory".
In turn this custom menu will call a .pl file.
I want to know the vpath of the directory selected in my perl file.
Is their any way around to achieve this.
Dont want to do this as a workflow.
Thanks
Gops

The easiest way to see what variables are being sent to your ipl file is to use the show_env.ipl that comes with Teamsite. Instead of your ipl use show_env.ipl and see what variables it returns. From there you can figure out what to do to grab the ones you want.

The correct way to determine the current area's vpath depends upon which UI you are using.
For ContentCenter (6.0 and 6.1), consult the UI customization guide.
For WebDesk Pro and WebDesk, consult the TeamSite Administration Guide.
NOTE: Using a debugging tool such as show_env.ipl will show you many HTTP parameters that may not be supported by in future versions of the product, so it is safer to use the documented parameters.

Interesting, show_env.ipl had made my job easy.
Really a good stuff to know about.
Thanks a lot
