Been banging my head against my monitor for a while with this one.
debug just calls a sub that dumps what ever is passed to it to a txt file.
$TD_File = Y:\\default\\main\\ecommerce\\CMF\\Sites\\Retail\\WORKAREA\\IPR1313_RETAIL_Richards_You_First_Stuff\\templatedata\\assets\\copy\\data\\2004\\personal\\internet_banking\\internet_banking_ttl
$NewDir = Y:\\default\\main\\ecommerce\\CMF\\Sites\\Retail\\WORKAREA\\IPR1313_RETAIL_Richards_You_First_Stuff\\templatedata\\assets\\copy\\data\\2004\\personal\\internet_banking\\i
code extract
$cmd = "mkdir $NewDir";
$cmd =~ tr|/|\\|;
debug ("$cmd");
$rv = `$cmd`;
$cmd2 = "mv $TD_File $NewDir\\";
$cmd2 =~ tr|/|\\|;
debug ("$cmd2");
$rv2 = `$cmd2`;
the
mkdir statement works but i cannot get the
mv cmd to work. I have tried turning it to a
system(mv ......) and even a
qx/..../ but nothing seems to work.
Am i just being stupid and i am forgetting something about the Y drive that means you cannot move files???
these 2 statements "why is it that the simple stuff takes the longest to fix when it goes wrong" & "working on a sunday" together means i am going home lol.
Anyway's any pointers most gratefuly received.
Thanks
