processes left running after shutdown

Hi,

TS 6.5, Interwoven TeamSite Search and Index 1.0.0.0.41237a , Sol 8

When using the IW provided scripts to shutdown the search and index agents, processes are being left
running in the stack. No effect on functionality - search and indexing still work, but I find this unacceptable.

these are the proccesses left hanging, though they can vary:

Hi,

looks like after the shutdown of the search and index agants, running pfiles on the
remaining process ids, shows the ports are in CLOSE_WAIT, FIN_WAIT, and TIME_WAIT.
It's like the shutdown can't free up the ports, which in conventional unix wisdom, should
not allow the services using those ports to be restarted, but it does.
