DD converting spaces to NULLs?!?!?
Hiya,
this is a doozy.
have a look at the iwddd.log snippet below:
INSERT:INSERT INTO SLS_HEADER_IMAGE__WORKAREA(path,image,image_content_item_identifier,link_content_item_identifier,display_order,slsid) VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?)
Column: path, field: path, Index: 1,Converting 'templatedata\corporate_buy_emea\category\data\eng\eng.pnt' to VARCHAR
Column: image, field: category/0/static-link-set/0/header-image/0/image, Index: 2,Converting ' ' to VARCHAR
Column: image_content_item_identifier, field: category/0/static-link-set/0/header-image/0/image-content-item-identifier, Index: 3,Converting '' to INTEGER
Column: link_content_item_identifier, field: category/0/static-link-set/0/header-image/0/link-content-item-identifier, Index: 4,Converting '' to INTEGER
Column: display_order, field: category/0/static-link-set/0/header-image/0/display-order, Index: 5,Converting '4' to INTEGER
Column: slsid, field: category/0/static-link-set/0/display-order, Index: 6,Converting '3' to INTEGER

SQLException occured in TDbSchemaGroupCfg
Exception Message: [D1\EUROSQL]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'image', table 'DataDeploy.dbo.SLS_HEADER_IMAGE__WORKAREA'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
Vendor Error Code: 515
SQL state: 23000

You'll notice that there is a space char in the image data above. (Converting ' ' to VARCHAR )
Bug or "feature"? I can't imagine why automatic whitespace trimming would be advantageous.
Anyone else?
Cheers
