Premature end of script headers

We upgraded to 6.1 from version 5 and moved the content store over to the new TS6.1 server. However, now I can't run workflows. After I press submit I get a choice to select a workflow. When I make my choice, and proceed, this is what I get:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I checked out the log, and this is the entry that has been generated:

Any idea on how to troubleshoot this?

My guess is that you have some perl in your workflow that isn't compatible with the newer version of perl that comes with 6.1. A couple of questions/suggestions:

1) Does this occur with all workflows? Have you enabled some of the OOTB solutions ones and tested those?
2) Have you turned the debug mode on? That way you can see what the job spec XML is.
3) Did you upgrade to W2K SP4? Looks like you are using Windows with that system path.

1) Yes. The workflow never executes. Internal server error occurs before I am able to press the final "Finish". If I try to submit a DCR, I will get "Next Action" and "Attach to existing task or new job" select boxes. When I make my choices and press "next", the next screen I get has navigation buttons on the bottom that say "Back, Finish Cancel", and the content of the window contains "Internal Server Error" message.

2) Job never starts, so there is nothing in Job logs.

3) Yes this is windows 2k, with SP4, and teamsite 6.1 has the SP1 patch.

It looks like there is something going on with e:/interwoven/iw-home/httpd/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi

Do you know how can I debug that cgi?

iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi is just that - a CGI wrapper - the issue is probably in whatever script is being wrapped by iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi. Basically, somewhere you have a CGI script which is, for some reason, spitting out soe text (probably an error message) to STDOUT *before* the Content-Type: text/html header has been sent to STDOUT.

Unfortunately - we don't know what scripts are being called, so we can't easily help you debug it too much further than that. Look for all the possible CGI scripts and see if you can find it.

I am not quite sure whether it works or not. Usually for all my custom menu items I use the following module to spit out errors to the browser. CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser) . I am not quite sure of it. But you can give it a try.

I'm actually having the exact same problem when migrating from TeamSite 5.5.2 to 6.1 but the problem does not occur for the user I logged in as when installing TS. It occurs for all other users (even Masters), however, so it seems to be a permissions issue. I saw some information on this happening on Solaris, but nothing about how to deal with this on Windows 2003.

Any ideas?
