workarea permissions

Hi,
when a workarea is shared with cfb_group = Read access, can I grant more access to user1 who belongs to cfb_group?
i.e, in my submit.cfg file, I'have
owner=TEAMSITE\test_admin
group=TEAMSITE\cfb_group
setaccess = {TEAMSITE\Administrators:ALL,
TEAMSITE\cfb_group:Read,
TEAMSITE\user1:CHANGE,
}

I've encounetered blank file propertites screens, no info is displayed, they're simply white!
is it soemthing in my permission settings?
any ideas why? how can I fix that?
