Activation Set-Error Inconsistent Object

mohitarora

Hi

I have a user task in my workflow that can be activated in 3 scenarios.

1. when task1 and 2 both are complete
2. or when task3 is complete
3. or when task4 is complete

so in the activation set i have written the following code
<activation>
<or>
<and>
<pred v="Task1"/>
<pred v=Task2"/>
</and>

<or>
<pred v="Task3"/>
<pred v=Task4"/>
</or>
</or>
</activation>

But it is giving error Inconsistent Object

Try something like this:

Task1 and Task2 complete -> go to dummy task

newtask starts when DummyTask, Task3 or Task4 complete.

I have never mixed ands and ors in a WF (not that you cannot)

have you tried it this way?
I haven't done much of this, it's just a logical guess - could be wrong

<activation>
<or>
<and>
<pred v="Task1"/>
<pred v=Task2"/>
</and>
</or>

<or>
<pred v="Task3"/>
</or>

<or>
<pred v=Task4"/>
</or>
</activation>

Close - but your logic is off a tiny bit and you have a couple of typos in there - try: <activation>
<or>
<and>
<pred v="Task1"/>
<pred v="Task2"/>
</and>
<or>
<pred v="Task3"/>
<pred v="Task4"/>
</or>
</or>
</activation>
