rodigz
Hi ,
I have file own by certain name and group. Only that user can access the file. But when I try to import a files using different user not belong to the group.
The imort file can overwrite the file.
Will it be possible not to accept the import if the user not belongs to the group.
Please advise,

Hi
This rings a bell as a known TeamSite bug. Which version/platform are you on?
Cheers

Teamsite 5.6.. basically I changed already the permission only the user can edit the file. Other users can't edit the file but the user can import and overwrite the file...
Any solution on this??
thanks!
Dwayne
Would it be possible to mark the directory that
contains
the files as writeable only that user? This is just a guess, but it could be that the applet is deleting the old file, then importing the new, which would ignore your permission settings. It's the
directory
level permissions that determine the right to delete and create files, while file permissions control modifying and viewing the existing contents.

Check what version of the Java JDK that they have on their machines.
I had the same issue with files/folders not appearing when using the Import applet and had to downgrade my version of the JDK to whatever is listed on the compatibility matrix.
