Import Files... can't see CD Drive

Several users throughout our organisation, when attempting to Import Files.... , cannot see their CD Drive! They can see their A:, C:, and all network drives, but not their CD drives. Whereas I can see mine. It doesn't appear to be dependent on role (master, editor etc), not does it depend on whether a CD is present. Has anyone experienced this problem and what's the solution?
TS 5.5.2, Solaris, clients are Win2K.
