Cached DB connections in OD 6
NathansDIS
Does OpenDeploy aka DataDeploy 6.0 cache a connection to the database or is this cached connection a function of the ODBC data source on the server? Here is a piece of the datadeploy log that references the cached connection. Is there a way to configure OD/DD (or ODBC) to use a new connection each time? Thanks in advance for any input, suggestions, etc. FYI, we are using TeamSite 6.1, OpenDeploy 6.0 on Windows 2k server.

Had to do some checking. It appears that the database connection is always cached. The only way to clear the connection is to restart the base server instance.
I've filed a feature request (57370) asking for a configurable option to instruct OD not to cache the database connection when performing database deployments.
