Activation Date field in CCPRO

In the CCPRO Workflow Tab, I added a display field for Activation Date so the users could see when their jobs became active. However the time stamp provided is way off the actual time. For instance I just created a new job at 9:54 am and the Activation Date entry is showing that the job was created at 5:54 pm. Just a tad off. Is there some configuration field somewhere that I need to change to make it show Pacific Time? Or does it just have a mind of its own?

How are you setting this up?

I haven't done this with TS6 - but basically if you're pulling in the activation time as a number - it's the number you need to process it with something that will take that number, translate it into a date/time and then adjust it for your current timezone (I believe the activation time value is always stored in GMT).

If the date is hardcoded to be GMT, that's a pretty useless field. Why would anyone want a GMT date field? Other date/time stamps within the Workflow UI are accurate in Pacific time. Do you know of any other attributes I can use other than Activation Date that will give me what I want in the correct time zone?

I can only think of ways that I would do this in Perl - not within the new UI customizations - so that won't really help much.

See if you can get the actual value being used for the activation time somehow (I know you can use iwgetwfobj - but I'd be curious to know if you're getting the same thing through the UI customization code) - if it is coming back as a number - you can play with decoding it on the command line to verify whether it is in GMT or PST/PDT to verify if my contention about the GMT is correct.

Beyond that - unless someone else has done this - I think you'll have to go through Support ....

Don't know if this matters or not, but try setting the format of the date using the typeFormat attribute. I am not sure of all its forms or if that will somehow change the time. I assume not, but may be worth a try.

In theory, you could create your own workflow variable that stores the correct value you want and then access it using the variable(<Variable Name>) syntax. However, something like this shouldn't need a work around.

I never pursued it or got any help from Interwoven on this. I am so happy to be concentrating on Java development outside of TeamSite and not having to pull my hair out over crappy tool design issues like this. I am sorry I don't have a solution for you.
