Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of using Teamsite templates on a site where compliance with the W3C accessibility guidelines was mandatory. We've done the simple stuff, like adding alt tags to every IMG etc. The main area we are having trouble with is the creation of tables within the Visual Editor. Currently there is no way I can see to produce <thead> tags within a table in Visual Editor. Accessibility compliance however states that you must have thead tags in a data table so that assistive technologies can read it as a data table and not as a layout table.
Does anyone know whether this is addressed in later versions of Teamsite (we are using a not very well known version - 5.5.1, yes, definitely 5.5.1 - our company got it then Interwoven decided to give everyone else 5.5.2!
Thanks

According Ektron's website, 508 compliance came about in version 2.6.0.7 of their editor. Which would mean you would need TeamSite 5.5.2.
Check out this
url
for more info on what is supported (data tables included).

We also featured Ektron at a recent webcast. This article also has data on 508 compliance (linked to from the "partners" tab on DevNet)

You may have gotten what you need already, but the webcast slides and recording also cover 508 - see:
