Customizing Teamsite login page
ryusonoke
Has anyone been able to modify the Teamsite 6.x login page to say, add a little blurb about "If you are unable to login, contact so and so.." or post announcements for system maintenance, etc? The UI customization guide doesn't seem to mention this at all..

I've got a custom login page. Of course it isn't supported and I have to roll my changes back into the IWOV source whenever a new SP or version comes out. But it is fairly easy to do. Check out
this
thread to find out more of the details.

Very slick. That post was a little tiring to read through, so for the convenience of others, here's a summy of what I had to do:
To modify the Teamsite Content Center login page:
1. Stop Teamsite
2. Check <iw-home>/httpd/webapps/content_center to see what it contains. It should not be empty, and its WEB-INF/lib directory should have lots of .jar files.
3. Remove the <iw-home>/httpd/webapps/content_center directory
4. Run <iw-home>/install/install_webapps.ipl -i -f
5. delete <iw-home>/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/jspc/teamsite/auth/login_jsp.java
6. Edit <iw-home>/httpd/webapps/content_center/teamsite/auth/login.jsp
7. run <iw-home>/install/install_webapps.ipl -c content_center
8. iwreset -a
From then on, to re-edit, repeat steps 5-8.
