Web CMS (TeamSite)
SSL with TeamSite 6.1
mannyroble
Hi,
I decided to post this issue here to see if anyone has run into this problem before? I am working with TeamSite 6.1 SP1 and we have a website the redeirects some of our pages to HTTPS. What basically happens is when we try and access the pages, TeamSite just hangs (meaning we can never get to the page) It seems like TeamSite is trying to get to the requested page, but eventually gives up. Our server is Windows 2003 Enterprise with IIS 6.
Below is Supports analysis of what's going on, but htey haven't been able to give me a solution:
What's happening in your case is that the original IIS Webserver (IE on port 81) is redirecting iwproxy's HTTP requests to an https:// URL. When this happens, iwproxy tries to pass along the redirect in an intelligent way, but it unfortunately ends up sending a redirect by stripping off the host and port info from the redirect URL and replacing it with the host and port used in the original request (this is to keep the client from seeing the origin IIS Server directly).
Unfortunately, in this case, the only thing that's changed is that http has become https in the portion of the URL that's stripped off. This causes a redirect to the same URL, which creates a loop.
