Web CMS (TeamSite)
lock and unlock files
mvergara
Hi everybody
we are having problems with a workflow. An author creates a content (DCR) and start a workflow (DCR is attached to workflow) for translation and revision. A translator (an author) should open and edit the content. Both users are working into the same workarea and there is no submit operation.
This way the translator cannot edit the file because it remains locked by the creator of the content. So we add an external task (before group task for translator) in order to unlock (iwunlock is performed).
With this change, translator can take and edit the file (DCR) but when he says "done" to FormPublisher, TS replays "unable to change ownership of task...". But user is able to progress with the workflow.
Is it OK this (estrange) external task added?, how can we get rid off this message?
Please, help!

My guess is that you're doing something else within the externaltask script - and that's where the error message is coming from - but without seeing all the relevant code it's kind of difficult to diagnose any further than that.

Apparently, external task has code to get the files attached to workflow and unlock them. No other action is performed there.
This is the code we use:
////////////////////
#!/opt/gc/teamsite/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl -w
##
#####
# Incluyo los modulos de PERL necesarios
#####
use TeamSite::WFtask;
use TeamSite::WFworkflow;
use TeamSite::Config;
use ITV_debug;
use ITV_config;
use ITV_UTIL;
use TeamSite:
CRnode;
use strict;
# Home de TeamSite
chomp(my $iwhome = TeamSite::Config::iwgethome());
$iwhome =~ s|\\|/|g;
my $iwbin = "$iwhome/bin";
my $sFicheroConfiguracion = TeamSite::Config::iwgethome() . '/local/bin/itv/config/ITV_Config.cfg';
ITV_config::readFile ($sFicheroConfiguracion);
my $imount = ITV_config::getValue ('IMOUNT');
#=====================================================================
# Inicio los objetos de Workflow
#=====================================================================
my($wfid, $taskid, $area) = (shift, shift, shift);
my($task) = new TeamSite::WFtask($taskid);
my($workflow) = new TeamSite::WFworkflow($wfid);
my
@files
= $task->GetFiles();
my $origarea = $task->GetArea();
my $me = "unlock";
my $linea;
my $debug = ITV_config::getValue ('DEBUGWFDIRECTO');
ITV_debug::setDebugFile($debug);
if (
@files
== 0)
{
return 0;
}
foreach my $file (
@files)
{
$linea="$iwbin/iwunlock $imount$origarea/$file";
ITV_debug::debug ("COMANDO $linea ");
my $SALIDA = `$linea`;
ITV_debug::debug ("SALIDA $SALIDA ");
}
$task->CallBack(0, "Tarea unlock ficheros OK");
////////////////////
Message is received from TS ContentCenter Standard when user clicks "done" after editing a DCR. This message refers to "ownership of the task" but the task is already taken by the user (am I right?). As far as we can see this does not prevent the workflow to continue.
TS ContentCenter Professional shows a "finish" button (instead "done") and it seems to work fine. Is there any difference between "done" and "finish" opperations?, should we take any special actions depending on the TS GUI we use?
Thanks in advance.

Beats me. The code you posted certainly seems simple enough (there's room for cleaning it up some - but nothing that stands out as the cause of the error message you are seeing) - perhaps the wft code would help, but from your new pronouncement that the message only appears when using CCS as opposed to CCP - I'm hesitant to think that the wft code will make it clear either.
I'd suggest opening up a case with Interwoven Support - as you may have uncovered a bug in CCS ...
