Not able to see the workareas in Teamsite

Hi,
I have just installed Teamsite 5.5.2 for windows 2k and when I logged in I can not see the filesystem. I mean I select the workarea view but I can not see anything. The mount point (default: Y Smiley Happy

is ok, and it has the correct structure (default/main/....)

I have two errors in iwserver.log.
ERROR: no valid submit config file found in the current configuration (C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\submit.cfg, C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\config\submit.cfg, C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\submit.cfg) (2)
ERROR: no valid autoprivate file found in the current configuration (C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\autoprivate.cfg, C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\config\autoprivate.cfg, C:\Archivos de programa\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\autoprivate.cfg) (2)

Those "errors" are not generally significant *but* .... the fact that you installed TeamSite into a path with white-space in it is definitely *not* recommended and has been known, in the past, to cause all sorts of problems. (it's also difficult to tell if the path contains UTF-8 chracters?)

If you can, I suggest you uninstall TeamSite and re-install it in a simpler path (the usual recommendation is "c:\iw-home" - but if you want "c:\Archivos_de_programma\Interwoven\TeamSite would probably be okay.

Any ideas why the Windows install *still* defaults to installing under Program Files?

Do you think it may be a test to see if the person installing it has had any previous experience? Or maybe it is like raising the level of difficulty in some Olympic event so that you get a higher score if you can actually make it work

As I see the only way to solve this problem is to re-install Teamsite again and change de home directory to iw-home??? ops...

The re-install was only on a guess as to the nature of the problem. I personally would try to open a case with support before taking such a drastic step.

If you have just installed then reinstalling would be the way to go. Shouldn't take more than a 'few' hours

Perhaps the program files path something you have to default to in order to get 'windows certifed?' But mostly just sounds like a good thing for services sales volume, but i'm fairly cynical...

If you installed 5.52 on a windows 2000 sp4 system you have to install TeamSite sp5 or sp6 for teamsite to work.

Solved !!!!!!!! I have re-installed all Teamsite in this order:

1.- Teamsite v.5.5.2
2.- Teamsite ServicePack 6
3.- Teamsite Templating v.5.5.2
4.- Teamsite Templating ServicePack 6

and I can see now everything!. The problem and the solution was here: https://support.interwoven.com/kb/kb_show_article2.asp?ArticleID=50189 Just install the service packs por Teamsite v.5.5.2. In this case installing SP6 for Teamsite and Teamsite Templating is enought.
