choose the successor from an external task

I have a simple workflow in TS 5.5.2:
task1->task2->task3->task4->end

The task2 is an external task.Depending of test a made in task2,I want to be able to skip task3.

If for my task2 I have :

<successors>
<successorset description="OK">
<succ v="task3"/>
</successorset>
<successorset description="KO">
<succ v="task4"/>
</successorset>
</successors>

Can I specify wich successor I want in my external task?Because It always take the first one.

This is easily accomplished. Assuming you're using Perl:

use TeamSite::WFtask;
my ($jobid, $taskid) = @_;

my $task = new TeamSite::WFtask($taskid);
my $rc = 0;
my $comment = "";

if(some logic here to determine which branch to take) {
    $rc = 0;    # Show that we want the first branch (task3)
    $comment = "A comment saying that we chose task 3.  The system doesn't care about this - it's for users reading the job info";
} else {
    $rc = 1;    # Show that we want the second branch (task4)
    $comment = "A comment saying that we chose task 4.  The system doesn't care about this - it's for users reading the job info";
}

$task->CallBack($rc, $comment);
exit 0;
