FYI, after upgrading to SP1 a few weeks ago, we've had an issue when the first value in our select list on our data capture templates is selected but then is not recognized as being selected. So our users select the first option, hit Save, and are told they did not select an option in the select dropdown (which is a required field). Not a big issue but several of our users have complained. As most users (and developers for that matter), they wanted a seamless upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 SP1.
The simple workaround is to have users simply select another option, then reselect the first one. However, this is an identified bug, #55110, with the official Support description "Select list's first option is automatically selected, but not saved unless user changes option. This is a regression bug introduced by TS6.1 SP1."
