CSSDK Authentication on Solaris

Dear All,

I am planning to develop a application on TS6.1(on Solaris platform) using CSSDK 2.0. I heard CSSDK has the limitation that it needs "root" previlages for authentication. Is it true?

Well, normally TeamSite (and, I believe, the CSSDK server) run as root, to be able to access system services. But it's certainly possible to authenticate to CSSDK from a client as a user other than root.
