What's new in WorkSite 8?
rasoolpasha
Hi,
we have an intranet portal built around ASP and use VB6 interface with Imanage worksite (server 7.1 and SDK 3.0) for Document management features (like check-in/out, fulltext search etc.,); we are planning to migrate part of our portal to ASP.NET;
thanks much
-Pasha

My simple question is whether we have to use COM-interop from ASP.NET to iManage.DLL (like we do for COM components which use single thread) or is the new Worksite version 8.0 fully multi-threaded DOTNET DLL?
thanks

The COM type libraries that are distributed with the WorkSite NT iToolkit are not developed and compiled in the .NET environment thus .NET will see it as unmanaged code. This, however, will not keep you from making calls to our COM API in this environment.
If you have referenced the type libs correctly and use the name spaces:
using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
using IManage;
it should run properly.
