Hi,

I am getting the below while doing the datadeploy. I am using TS5.5.2 and DD5.6 on unix box.

Hi Pammi,

This error is very specific to Sun JVM. Here is more info on this :

The Hotspot Java Virtual Machine has many parameters that affect performance. The parameters that affect the allocated memory size and the Java garbage collector can often have a significant performance impact.

Sun's Hotspot Virtual Machine (VM) has many command line options to configure the way it uses memory. The maximum and minumum amount of memory available to the VM can be set; there are also many parameters that affect how the garbage collector behaves.

The following parameters are all command line parameters for the Java 1.3x Hotspot Virtual Machine from Sun. These parameters come before the -classspath parameter and after the -hotspot or -server (optional) parameters.

Total Memory Size

The total memory allocated to the VM can be configured with the -Xms and -Xmx settings; these control the minimum and maximum memory size, respectively.

New Generation Size

The Hotspot VM has two regions:

space for rapid allocation of new objects, often called "eden" or the new generation
space for long lived objects, the old generation.
The ratio between the size of the old generation and the new generation can be configured by the -XX:NewRatio parameter; however, this parameter is overridden by the -XX:MaxNewSize= parameter, which, by default, is often too small (1.5MB for Windows, 32MB for Solaris).

In order to best control the size of the new generation, explicitly specify the minimum and maximum size of the new generation by use of the -XX:NewSize= and -XX:MaxNewSize= parameters.

With the size of the total Java heap and the subset new generation heap configured, there is only one remaining parameter generally important to performance. The -XXurvivorRatio= parameter adjusts the amount of space within the new generation allowed for "survivors"--objects that have survived one or more eden garbage collections and have not been evicted to the old generation.
