error accessing ODUI

Hi,

I am trying to access OpenDeploy 6.0.1 using the UI. When I try to logon, I could not log in and I get the following error :

"Failed to locate Access Service, ; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect "

Also, in the OD logs following error message appears :

ENG: 2004-12-10 09:34:04 SGT GMT+08:00 *** Start access setup ***
ENG: 2004-12-10 09:34:04 SGT GMT+08:00 Access key file

\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\etc\passphrase does not exist.
ENG: 2004-12-10 09:34:04 SGT GMT+08:00 *** Not doing access setup ***

ENG: 2004-12-10 09:34:04 SGT GMT+08:00 *** useAccessKeyFileForAdmin is false

This is after the fresh installation of OD. Do I need to configure something to get this running.

I am using TS6.5 running win2k.

Hi Sid,
The most likely problem could be ownership of the passphrase file. The pass phrase file should be owned by iwui.
Please let me know if any issues exist.

Did you remember to install the "CSF" package that comes with OpenDeploy?

CSF is the ContentServices Foundation package, which includes a web service called the "access service". The OD admin server uses this access service to authenticate users who log in.

Don't think so. A default install of CSF produces a passphrase file of 400 root Smiley Surprised

ther. Unless
the install has failed to set the owner on it, it's probably correct.

It sounds like either CSF is not installed or not running. If it is installed look at the CSF log files to find out what may be the issue (iwhome/CSF/logs/* -I think there is a AS_errors.log)
The below is NOT an error it is just OPEN DEPLOY telling you that you have not configured Deploy.cfg to use this. Look at the comments in Deploy.cfg to get a better understanding of what this does.
