Need Help on this issue ASAP

Hello all:

I need your help!!!!
I have a workarea (webmaster)
I then created a new workarea (called CDSC) and gave it to a group of my organization
With that new CDSC workarea, I created couple folders and selecting some files from my webmaster workarea copy to that new CDSC workarea.
I just want those files can be edited by people in that group.
I even gave this group of people the power to do so by giving the group full permission.
BUT....when they get into that new CDSC workarea, they cannot edit any files. The "Edit" function are in "grey".
What should I do?????
Please help!

I suggest you take some classes on TeamSite Administration for your platform type (Windows/Unix) and/or contact Support to walk you through the various issues.

Other than that, you can search through the various forum posts and find some answers to your issues - but you'll probably be far better served going through Support and some training.

What version of TS are you using, and what platform are you running it on. If you are using windows, are the groups for sharing local machine groups, or are they domain groups. Are the users directly in the group or are the users included in the group by inheritance from another group?

The version is 6.1.0 Service Park 1 on Win 2000 Pro
They are domain groups
The users are directly in the group and ALSO inheritance from another group.

Do you have domain_local_groups=yes in your iwserver section?

And do you only have one level of nesting? I'm assuming that the group is a domain local group and the users that are inherited from anohter group are being inherited from a global group. Is that correct, or are you trying something different than that?

Not all types of nesting is supported.
If you use local groups, does it work ?
Search devnet - you will find some useful posts, including reference to whitepaper on AD. For example Active Directory and Nested Groups

I would recommend going through the forums and working with support.
