You need to provide a
LOT
more context. To start with:
How was the workflow instantiated?
What kind of workflow task are we talking about?
Are you just looking for the file name, or the file path too?
If the file path - are you looking for a file system path, a full vpath, or an area relative vpath?
And, as always, what version of TeamSite (including SP and patches) on what platform?
With that information we
might
be able to help you.

Hi,
I have a similar question as the one posted above : the facts :
(1) the workflow is initiated when the author selects the "save and close" button on the dcr.
(2) in the Mail subject - the dcr name from which the workflow is initiated has to be retrieved. -
can i do it using
my $dcrName = IWDCRInfo.getDCRName();
Thanks in advance.

Re 2 - presumably the script for sending email is written in Perl - if so, you can use TeamSite::WFtask to retrieve the names of all files attached to the job, and then you can use iwextattr to process them and determine which one is a DCR (or if they are generated files and you need to find the DCR - look at the EAs and construct the path to the DCR -- if all you need is the name, it should be there in the EAs)
IWDCRinfo.getDCRName() looks like either Java or Javascript code. The former will work if your email program is written in Java and you have the appropriate CSSDK [I think] libraries referenced. The latter I don't believe will work because it's assuming something like a FormAPI interface which only exists within the Edit DCR window - not within a workflow task.
