Information available to CGI custom menu items
brave
In TeamSite 5.5 when you call a CGI from a Custom Menu item, the following values are passed as form variables:
archive_id
archive_name
archive_path
area_id
area_name
area_path
branch_id
branch_name
branch_path
directory_id
directory_name
directory_path
has_applet_support
iw_locale
iw_prog_name
mount_path
overwrite
page_id
page_type
session
subpage_type
user_name
user_role
vpath
wrapper_version
In TeamSite 6.5, the following values are passed as form variables:
cwd.vpath
done_page
full_redirec
vpath
I want to convert some of my custom menu items to work under TeamSite 6.5. Is there a way to access information such as user_name, area_name, and user_role from a CGI called from a Custom Menu Item? (Other than using the adapter CGI script. I don't have anything against using the adapter, I'm just trying to figure out what information is available to the CGI.)

Did you ever find the solution to this?
Thanks.

You can the list of all the variables passed to the CGI using show_env.ipl CGI script. Add a custom menu item called "Show Env" and rebuild the customer toolkit.
