dodeletes not working
Tarun
We are using OpenDeploy and doing directory comparison but dodeletes doesn't seem to work. From the server log we saw that all entries which are to be deleted have SKIPPED written.
Excerpt from log:
client: deletedir ./content/section/article1.html [reason missing-in-src] -- SKIPPED
client: deletedir ./content/section/article2.html [reason missing-in-src] -- SKIPPED
client: deletedir ./content/section/article3.html [reason missing-in-src] -- SKIPPED
We have the following entries in the opendeploy configuration:
<permissionRules group="other" user="deploycon" directory="711" file="644"/>
<comparisonRules dateDifferent="yes"/>
<transferRules dodeletes="yes"/>
These three lines are existing in each of <pathSpecification> tag.
Also, the following lines in <target> tag
<comparisonRules dateDifferent="yes"/>
<transferRules dodeletes="yes"/>
<permissionRules file="0755" directory="0755" user="weblogic" group="staff"/>
Is it something to do with file permission? Logs doesn't give any error but only show SKIPPED.

You aren't by any chance running the deployment with the '-sim' flag, are you?
Could you post (as an *attachment*) the full log file?

No we are not simulating the deployment. We are using OpenDeploy Admin to run the deployment. Can't attach the whole log its a very big file so I have attached the log with the Starting and Ending lines. In the middle its all with SKIPPED.
Can it be because we have different user/group in pathSpecification and target tags?

Hi
I'm not 100% sure if OpenDeploy is case sensitive but could I suggest that you use doDeletes instead of dodeletes.
Cheers

Good catch - the element and attribute values ARE case-sensitive - and that would be a good reason to skip the files that otherwise would be up for deletion.

Although you replied to my posting - the credit goes to Michael for spotting it (just in case anyone gets the wrong impression).
