Get Latest Error In TS 6.1
cemman01
Does anyone have a problem doing a get latest at the workarea level in TS6.1? When we select the 'Overwrite all files', an error message appears just before the get latest action completes (see screenshot).
IW : Has this been reported before or do you suggest opening a Support case?
Thanks,
Carolyn.

Carolyn,
I just ran a test on TS 6.1 and got: Successfully updated files in test
This was done at the workarea level.
Does the problem occur in every workarea? Certain conditions? Any pattern to the problem?

Thanks for checking it out. But I guess I failed to mention that the get latest error happens only in a new workarea that has no content.
It happens across all branches and for all users. And then only if you do the get latest at the workarea level.

i'm unable to reproduce this bug on 6.1 SP1, though i don't think i fixed anything that was particular to this problem. are there any other factors i can use to reproduce this? what i tried was to do a get latest overwrite on a new workarea on a new branch (both with no content).

your question is off topic. SP1 will ship sometime in Q2. i don't have anymore information than that.

Why is it off topic - you brought it up.

To replicate the exact situation, I think you have to have content in Staging and then do a get latest into an empty workarea.
I am on TS6.1 and maybe its not an issue on TS6.1SP1.

i am unable to reproduce this. there must be something else going on. please open up a support case and try to narrow the problem down.

Dave,
I'm not sure he realizes that he brought it up. hehehe

don't want to drag this out.
this post is about an error in get latest. i'm testing on SP1 since it's what i have installed right now since we're working on it. i clearly said that i did not know of any bug fix to this particular problem on SP1, but i also explictly said that i had tested on SP1 since i wanted to be clear that i had not tried to reproduce the bug on the exact same environment.
post follow ups to a new post about "ariel talking about SP1", not to this particular post about obscure (and real) problems with get latest.

Ariel, with all due respect, threads go off on tangents all the time based on additional information people bring into the conversation. There's nothing wrong with taking something in a different direction based on something someone brought up. It's not a big deal. That's what the search function is for.
